Know the Difference
Home Care vs. Home Health Care
Home care is non-medical support at home: personal care, companionship, meal preparation, light housekeeping, errands, and transportation. Home health care is different — it is skilled nursing or therapy at home, ordered by a physician and delivered by licensed clinicians.
Active Life Services provides non-medical home care. If a doctor has ordered skilled nursing or therapy at home, tell us at the consultation and we will point you to the right provider, and our caregivers can still cover the personal care and household support around it.
Both Together
Combining Home Care With Adult Day Care
Many families use both: a caregiver at home for mornings, evenings, or weekend support, and days at our adult day care center for activities, meals, and company. Because both come from Active Life Services, it is one coordinated team working from one care plan, one number to call, and one set of updates — instead of two agencies that never speak to each other.

Many families pay little or nothing out of pocket, depending on what they are eligible for. We go through the options with you before care begins so there are no surprises.
