Who We Serve

Adult Day Care and Respite Care for Philadelphia Families

We serve three groups: seniors who need supervision during the day, adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and the family caregivers who need respite care. Each program covers weekday hours, transportation, meals, and staff support.

Seniors

Seniors

Our senior day program is for older adults managing health conditions, limited mobility, or memory change who should not spend the day alone. They get a supervised place to go, activities to join, and company.

We support participants living with dementia or memory loss, with activities and cueing suited to where they are. Memory needs are reviewed at the assessment so we can confirm the fit.

Adults with Disabilities

Adults With Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities

When school and transition programs end, weekday structure disappears. Our day program for adults with disabilities replaces it with goals the participant helps choose and staff who track progress.

The service plan records what the participant does independently, so staff assist only where assistance is needed.

What Is Included

  • Individual service plans with tracked goals
  • Daily living skill practice, including cooking and self-care
  • Job readiness practice and volunteer placements
  • Community outings, transit, and money skills
  • Communication and self-advocacy support
  • Behavioral support planned at the assessment

Respite Care

Respite Care for Family Caregivers

Adult day care is one of the most affordable forms of respite care in Philadelphia: weekday hours covered, including the ride there and back, so you can work, sleep, or get to your own appointments.

Respite care only helps if you can plan around it, so you get one number to call during program hours, an account of how the day went, and help checking which funding programs you qualify for.

Families who need respite care at the house instead of at the center use our in-home care program, and some combine the two.

What Is Included

  • Weekday hours covered, transportation included
  • One point of contact during program hours
  • An account of how each day went
  • Help checking Medicaid, Veterans, and private-pay options
  • Days of attendance changed with a phone call
  • In-home care when the center is not the right fit
